Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Edwin Eugene Stavinoha, passed away on June 21, 2012. Edwin was born July 24, 1930 in Engle, Texas, to Edwin L. Stavinoha and Annie Zabransky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Eugene and Daniel, and sister Edna. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Noreen, his sister Maxine, brother Wilbur, and children Michael, Walter, Larry, Laura, and Jason and their spouses. Five grandchildren and six great grandchildren will miss him and his stories. He was a member of Knights of Columbus #1950 and the J. R. Tijarina Detachment of the Marine Corps League. A wake service/Rosary will be held at Schmidt Funeral home at 7:00 p.m. on June 24, 2012. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on June 25, 2012 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Katy.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations be made to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Gift Processing Administrator, 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive, Triangle, VA 22172; or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 570127, Houston, TX 77257.
