Margarito Rodriguez was born on December 21, 1948 in Albion, Michigan to Ubaldo and Paulina Quilantan Rodriguez. On September 1, 1984, he married June Marie Thies in Houston, Texas. Margarito served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam Conflict.

Margarito Rodriguez passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012, in a Houston hospital, at the age of 63 years.

He is survived by his wife, June Rodriguez; brothers and sisters, Ubaldo “Wally” Rodriguez, Jr., Beatrice Guerrero, David Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez, Rosa Linda Guzman, Richard Eli Guerrero, and Arnold Rodriguez; as well as many more family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ernesto Rodriguez.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel, in Katy, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, with a Vitas Hospice chaplain officiating. Interment will be private in Houston National Cemetery.
